Experience
I have extensive experience of over thirty years in Community Work and leading Art Workshops with people of all ages and abilities. I have a personal commitment to equal opportunities and positively discriminating practices; I endeavour to work in an inclusive way. I have an interest in raising people's experience and knowledge of the cultures of others and their own.
My Art workshops are skill based, theme based and issue based. The work that I undertake often follows negotiation with the group - 'You know best what you want to do and what works for you,' This approach I developed whilst working as a Community Artist in the 1980's.
I value the importance of honest monitoring and evaluating which I am happy to build into programmes with a creative touch.
